Binoculars

I look around a lot
She's my favorite spot
The first time that I gazed
I truly was amazed

I don't mind her imperfections
They're just charming to me
And we all let down our guard
When we think no one case see

There within my view
A world all hers
… and my binoculars

In the evening air
I just turn to stare
She is in my sights
On my favorite nights

I'm happiest when I find
The days she doesn't draw the blinds
Just before she goes to sleep
That's my favorite time to peep

I keep it to myself
The secretes that we share
All the things I know
From looking through her window

If I could tell her I would
Both the black and red dress look good
As she decides what to wear on the town
I prefer later in her night gown

There within my view
A world all hers
… and my binoculars

And I stare out to see
A world all hers
… and my binoculars

When I'm feeling all forlorn
I look and see how she's adorn
When there's no one to consort
Life becomes a spectator sport

I won't tell a soul
The secrets that we share
As I peer in her abode
Things she doesn't know she's showed

She's never heard my name
And we'll probably never meet
But I feel I know her well
From my perch across the street

There within my view
A world all hers
… and my binoculars

And I stare out to see
A world all hers
… and my binoculars
